Bobby Shoemaker is the franchisee operator of the Chick-fil-A locations in Gainesville, Georgia.  In 1984, he began his career as a teenager working behind the counter at the Chick-fil-A in Gwinnett Place Mall.  Bobby fell in love with the restaurant business while at Chick-fil-A and realized that it would be his dream to become a franchisee owner one day. He also met his wife-to-be Claire while working there.  They later got married in 1993 and are blessed to have 5 children: Brett, Caleb, Amelia, Nini, and Ellie.

After graduating from Duluth High School he went on to get his Business Administration degree from Berry College.  Bobby was blessed to receive the Chick-fil-A scholarship and was a part of the Winshape Program.  While at Berry College, he served on the Winshape Dairy Farm tending and milking the cows!   After Berry, he was selected into the Chick-fil-A Business Internship Program.  During his internship, Bobby served by leading restaurants in Colorado, Texas, Arkansas, and Maryland.

He was eventually selected for his own restaurant at Lakeshore Mall in Gainesville, Georgia in 1994.  A couple of years later he was selected to open a free standing restaurant in Gainesville on Pearl Nix Parkway.  He served there for 19 years before re-locating that restaurant to Dawsonville Highway to help with the capacity challenges the lot on Pearl Nix presented. Another dream came true over 20 years later when he was selected to open a second restaurant in Gainesville on Jesse Jewell Parkway.  Bobby loves operating multiple restaurants because  of the opportunity it gives him to influence his teams and the community.

Bobby and Claire love being active outdoors and traveling with their family. When they got married they set a core value to stay in one community for the stability of their family and to have an influence in that community.

Bobby is also passionate about high school students and sports.  As a result, he is involved with FCA, Young Life, and Three Dimensional Life.  His biggest passion as an operator is working with and developing young leaders.  He enjoys teaching them how to set and obtain goals, write personal development plans, and lead with servant leadership.  Bobby and his family are grateful for all the love and support from the Gainesville and Hall County community over the last 25 years.

Serving humbly,

Bobby Shoemaker
